The Inspec database, created by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), is one of the world’s most definitive bibliographic scientific databases. This April 2015, Inspec reaches a milestone 15 million records and continues to be the database of choice for researchers across the globe who seek highly specialized scientific and technical literature spanning physics, electrical engineering, electronics, communications, control engineering, computing, information technology, manufacturing, production and mechanical engineering.

Over 840,000 new records are added to the Inspec database each year; including nearly 5,000 journal titles (online, print and open access) in addition to numerous books and reports. Inspec also now indexes video content from and Journal of Visual Experimentation (JoVE). The inclusion of video has become particularly insightful to Inspec users as video is increasingly becoming the medium of choice for scientific researchers and knowledge providers.

IET is committed to providing researchers with access to the research data they need most and in whatever delivery format is most convenient for them.

Available via the EBSCOhost® platform, Inspec can be accessed wherever you do your research. EBSCOhost’s responsive interface is designed to adapt to whatever device you are using so that your research experience will be as easy and productive as possible.

From desktops to tablets to mobile phones, Inspec is the definitive source for information on the latest engineering and scientific literature.
