Shibboleth support

Project MUSE now supports Shibboleth access to the MUSE journal collections. Shibboleth enables users to have single sign-on access to online resources provided by their institution both on-campus and off-campus. It also provides security and protects the privacy of the user, says Project MUSE.

In addition to Shibboleth, MUSE offers libraries and institutions access to its online collections via IP address, referring URL, and Athens. A subscribing library may request access by any of the four methods when placing a subscription order or by sending a request to customer support.
