Middlesex University in the UK has received funding to develop a medical image repository.

The £30,000 grant from JISC, awarded to Xiaohong Gao, of the university's Imaging Science in the Computing and Multimedia Department, is for the Middlesex medical Image Repository with a CBIR ArchivinG Environment (MIRAGE). The aim of the 18-month project is to develop a warehouse of medical images and facilitate effective online retrieval tools to complement the university’s existing e-learning and teaching system.
