Atypon says it has expanded its commitment to enterprise-level IT security and privacy, establishing a Department of Information Security and Privacy and appointing Michael Goodman its director. Goodman will lead Atypon’s security and privacy environment with next-generation controls for protecting publishers’ content, data, and other sensitive corporate information.

Goodman will be responsible for developing and implementing well-documented, transparent global information security and privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all levels of the Atypon organization, from employee conduct and technology protection to product application security for Literatum, the company’s SaaS online publishing platform. This new position reports to Atypon CEO and founder Georgios Papadopoulos.

'The integrity of Atypon customers’ information has been of paramount importance since the day I founded the company, and I’m pleased to say that we have an unblemished 20-year history of maintaining the trust of our customers and the security of their content and data,' said Papadopoulos. 'Michael’s new role will help ensure that I can say the same years from now.'
