Woodhead Publishing Online

Woodhead Publishing has launched its online platform Woodhead Publishing Online.

Hosted by MetaPress, the new platform comprises over 800 e-books. Together, these contain 12,000 chapters in materials and engineering; food science technology and nutrition; textile technology; energy and environmental technology; and finance, commodities and business studies and mathematics. Designed and created after thorough research amongst librarians and end users, the site is said to offer extensive features and functionality and is the only platform to offer the complete Woodhead Publishing platform in one place.

All the Woodhead titles will be live on the platform by early 2011. The next phase will be a separate site for the entire catalogue of Chandos Publishing, which Woodhead acquired in 2009. The Chandos site will be the first time that Chandos titles have been available as e-books.
