Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (SCAN)

Oxford Journals has announced the launch of a new journal for the social neurosciences. Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (SCAN) will provide a vehicle for research in the increasingly overlapping fields of social psychology and the neurosciences. According to the publisher, this is a rapidly-growing area with a wide research base, yet currently has no dedicated journal.
SCAN will publish three issues in its first year. The journal will be available by subscription from 2007, but will also offer optional open access through the Oxford Open initiative.
