SkyRiver has announced the availability of a SkyRiver Mac client. This is said to alleviate the need to switch from one operating system to another just for cataloging, freeing up time and reducing library overheads. The SkyRiver cataloging client also operates with all supported versions of Windows including Windows 7.

One of the initial installations of the SkyRiver Mac client is Providence College, a member of the HELIN Consortium in Rhode Island. Mark Caprio, digital services and cataloging librarian at Providence College, commented that 'over and above the benefits that SkyRiver brings to our cataloging operations, the Mac client allows me to navigate seamlessly through the various applications I have on my Mac workstation. There are none of the irritating cross-platform compatibility issues that plague software developed for the PC and used on Macs.'
