SirsiDynix has announced a faceted search tool based on fuzzy search technology. SirsiDynix Enterprise is said to offer highly efficient search index updating, intuitive user interfaces and powerful finding aids. It also promises consortia support, deep integration with SirsiDynix integrated library systems and next-generation OPAC functionality.

Described as an easy add-on to current SirsiDynix OPACs, SirsiDynix Enterprise is also said to provide the groundwork that will support community/social networking capabilities such as user reviews, rankings and tagging and more in future releases.

SirsiDynix Enterprise will be available to users of SirsiDynix OPACs, including SirsiDynix Symphony e-Library, Horizon Information Portal, iBistro, iLink, Ecole and Web2, in the third quarter of 2008.
