Shibboleth access to digital magazine

Exact Editions, which supplies digital magazines, has implemented the Shibboleth authentication system for institutions. The Shibboleth System is a standards-based, open-source software package for single web sign-on across or within organisational boundaries.

'We have reacted to a strong demand both from libraries and publishers to launch Shibboleth access,' commented Daryl Rayner, managing director of Exact Editions. 'This will make access to the digital magazines we deliver such as the Ecologist and Le Monde diplomatique seamless in those institutions that support the Shibboleth system.'
