Elsevier has launched Reaxys, a new workflow solution for synthetic chemists. Reaxys is based on data from Elsevier’s chemistry databases, CrossFire Beilstein, CrossFire Gmelin and Patent Chemistry Database. These have been merged together to provide harmonised content, additional functionalities and a redesigned interface to help improve R&D efficiency, says Elsevier.

Reaxys also promises a synthesis planner and advanced results handling to help scientists gather relevant information more efficiently. It offers quick access to key data by displaying results in a tabulated overview of the most important information and outputs data in most common formats.

Reaxys is available today and existing CrossFire customers may use Reaxys in parallel for an interim period. In addition, all CrossFire products as well as the Commander interface will be fully supported for the time being.
