Wiley-VCH will launch Proteomics – Clinical Applications (PCA), a new journal intended to cover information in the field of applying proteomics to the study of human disease and translation to the clinic.

According to Wiley, the parent journal, Proteomics, has achieved an impact factor of 6.088 (ISI 2005) after six years of publication. As a result, Proteomics – Clinical Applications is to be published as a standalone journal from 2007. With 12 issues a year, PCA will focus on clinical research, including dysfunction in human disease, validation of diagnostic and prognostic disease biomarkers, novel drug targets and clinical trials.
