ProQuest has rolled out of its next local language portal. The latest in this initiative is for the Spanish speaking countries of Latin America and follows the launch of the Portuguese portal last month.

As with the Portuguese site, the new Spanish portal features information about ProQuest products and services, helpful resources such as brochures and case studies, and is the gateway to ProQuest’s global website.  It retains the local language blog, keeping visitors up-to-date on news and events taking place in Latin America.

Ashley Shnapier, head of field marketing for Latin America and the Caribbean at ProQuest, said: 'Our new Spanish language portal will help to develop our communications with our Spanish speaking markets. We want to connect directly with our users, and make every interaction with our customers as seamless and efficient as possible.

'We have been dedicating more time and attention and resources to Spanish speaking Latin America this year and this will continue to grow into next year. The new Spanish portal has collateral, blogs, training sessions and many tools that enable our customers to learn more, follow our whereabouts, more effectively promote the library within their institutions and increase usage.'

This new portal is the third in a series of new sites which began early in 2015 with the launch of a new microsite in China. Additional sites are planned for various languages across Europe and the Middle East in 2016.
