Orthopaedics publications

Springer has established a strategic partnership with the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT), which links Europe’s national orthopaedic associations. Springer will publish EFORT's journal, a major reference work, and a book series as well as developing an e-learning component for EFORT's portal. Publication of these works will begin before the end of this year.

European Orthopaedics and Traumatology will be the title of EFORT’s new official journal. Its mission is to connect member societies and encourage a strong link to their umbrella organisation as well as to communicate the gold standard in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases.  It aims to harmonise orthopaedic knowledge and training in Europe. Each issue will collect papers dealing with a specific topic and followed by a consensus discussion. This will be complemented by original articles.

Springer will also publish a major reference work for EFORT on surgical orthopaedics and traumatology and a book series (EFORT References in Orthopaedics and Traumatology).
