Keeping Within the Law website

A new copyright and information law website should help library and information professionals keep up-to-date with legislation and case law relating to information use, and its implications for the profession.

The Keeping Within the Law (KWtL) website, from Facet Publishing, the publishing arm of CILIP, is said to provide 24/7 access to authoritative, up-to-date information on all aspects of information law. This should help library and information professionals minimise the risk of legal infringement and effectively manage their compliance strategies.

The website has more than 1,600 searchable information resources, divided into four key subject areas. It also has a subscriber-only monthly newsletter, news alerts and blog with the latest legal intelligence, as well as links to websites, fact sheets, government reports, surveys, best practice guidelines, reports and analysis.
