The Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) has chosen Springer as the publisher of the Journal of General Internal Medicine (JGIM). Springer will begin publishing the journal both online and in print in January 2007. It will also now offer all authors, via the Springer Open Choice programme, the option of publishing their articles with open access.
