The American Medical Association (AMA) has introduced the JAMA Network on SCM6, the semantic online hosting platform from Silverchair Information Systems. The network brings together the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), along with the AMA’s nine archives, journals and related resources, to create a user-centered, semantically integrated digital portfolio.

The aim, according to Howard Bauchner, JAMA editor in chief, is to integrate the knowledge that AMA delivers seamlessly into an intuitive, user-centric experience.

Features of the JAMA Network are said to include: user-centered design, content in context, mobile optimisation, semantic search, integrated e-commerce and CME, multimedia and semantic collections.
