Access Innovations (AI), which provides the Data Harmony suite of taxonomy software tools, is working with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to improve the institute’s online research services. As part of this, AI has updated IEEE’s in-house thesaurus. This is expected to enable improved searching of IEEE’s repository. The company has also created a new taxonomy to structure the content to reflect the professional terminology used by IEEE’s more than 40 separate societies. This is expected to provide another basis for navigation of the content.
