Engineering Index Backfile

Dialog has added the Engineering Index Backfile to the Dialog platform. This backfile from Engineering Information is said to add more than 1.7 million records dating back to 1884. The archival backfile is available as part of the Ei Compendex (File 8 on Dialog) database, which now contains data from 1884 to the present, and as a separate database (File 988), which contains just the historical data from 1884 to 1969.The Engineering Index Backfile joins Dialog’s other engineering-related offerings such as Inspec Archival Backfile, CSA Technology Research Database (File 23), CSA Aerospace and High Technology Database (File 108) and METADEX (File 32).
