CHEST Journal app

HighWire Press and the American College of Chest Physicians have released a universal, full-text application of the CHEST Journal designed for iPads and iPhones. The new application allows users of these devices to access complete journal content, without charge, for a limited time.

'The CHEST Journal app is distinctive because it allows access to full-text content while containing most of the features of the Web site,' said John Sack, director of HighWire. 'In addition to the smartphone interface, the iPad version was crafted specifically for the tablet device, with a two-column design.'

According to Sack, early reviews on the iTunes store are positive, with more than 5000 downloads in the first two weeks.
