BMJ and the American Diabetes Association have launched BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care. This new open-access, peer-reviewed journal promises to cover all aspects of basic and clinical research in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and associated complications, such as cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors. The continuous publication format is expected to offer clinicians and researchers in the field rapid and timely access to the latest original research on the treatment and care of the disease.
