Wiley-Blackwell and the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) have signed an agreement for the production of online video publications. The purpose of the partnership is to integrate biological research video into the Wiley-Blackwell publication, Current Protocols.

According to the agreement, Current Protocols will use its large database to identify research labs with the most advanced state-of-the art experimental approaches for filming and video publication produced by JoVE. During the first year of the collaborative work, the two companies plan to produce and publish 200 experimental videos online.

JoVE was founded in October 2006 as the first online video publication for biological research.
