University shares portal developments

Share this on social media:

The University of Manchester has developed the code required to successfully integrate library web services into their uPortal using the tools and support available within the Talis Developer Network (TDN). Under an open-source licence, the university is now sharing this work, as open-source code, for other institutions to reuse in their Talis Keystone implementations. The modules that they have made available have been published on the TDN.

Lorraine Beard, head of information services at The University of Manchester commented: ‘The integration with Talis Keystone has enabled us to deliver a seamless service to staff and students visiting us via the University's portal. We are delighted that our efforts are available on the TDN to help other libraries, and look forward to benefiting from their contributions to this open community in the future.’
