Thieme chooses Ingram platform
Thieme has selected Ingram’s CoreSource platform to facilitate the archiving and distribution of e-content to partners worldwide.
Ingram’s CoreSource is an online solution for the storage, management, and distribution of digital content. It delivers a secure, searchable content repository and a high-capacity data distribution network. This is said to allow publishers to move digital content easily and swiftly from their organisation to any channel partner globally.
Thieme Publishers will supply frontlist and backlist books through Ingram’s platform. Using CoreSource, the publisher will deploy a new collection of multi-format content and will subsequently gain the flexibility to repurpose and re-version all new content published for health professionals and students globally.
'We create rich content for medical students and professionals around the world, and taking time away from content development to build a costly and comprehensive digital asset management platform is not the best use of our resources. By collaborating with Ingram, we can concentrate on our core business,' said Cornelia Schulze, vice president international sales and marketing for Thieme Publishers.
