Swets and Innovative Interfaces strengthen EDI connections

Share this on social media:

Swets and Innovative Interfaces have established a range of electronic data interchange (EDI) connections between their proprietary systems, SwetWise and Millennium.

These connections are said to enable the rapid, automatic transfer of invoice, claim and packing slip information between the two systems and eliminate the need to manually input and duplicate that data. This should provide greater efficiency and convenience to all librarians that use the two systems.

Thanks to these developments, customers can receive, handle and maintain all relevant claim and invoice data through their chosen interface. Libraries using Swets’ Consolidation Service and Innovative’s Serials eCheckin Server can also use the packing slip information provided by Swets to quickly check-in batches of print issues, reducing their manual workload even further, say the companies.

In the last quarter of 2010, 10 new library EDI connections were set-up between SwetsWise and Millennium customers and further roll-outs are expected during 2011.
