Spain joins SCOAP3
15 January 2009
The Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation has expressed its interest in joining SCOAP3. It will be responsible for the contribution of Spain to the open-access, high-energy physics consortium.
The addition of Spain brings the SCOAP3 membership to 20 countries in Europe, Australasia and the Middle East. A large number of leading US libraries and CERN, the international high-energy physics organisation, are also involved in the consortium. The partners have now collectively pledged 53 per cent of the SCOAP3 budget envelope of 10 million euros/year.
