SCOAP3 crosses the 2000 article mark

The Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3) has reported that 2000 open-access articles have been published with its funding since the initiative's launch in January 2014.
These articles, which have appeared in 10 journals from 11 publishers and learned societies, are released under a CC-BY licence, and openly accessible on publishers' websites. In addition, articles are immediately available in the SCOAP3 repository in several formats, including PDF/A and XML for text-mining and other purposes. Scientists from over 80 countries have freely published in SCOAP3 journals so far.
