Science goes online via SwetsWise Online Content
Swets and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) have made an agreement to make Science available via SwetsWise Online Content - Swets’ e-journal gateway.
SwetsWise Online Content provides a single source for accessing reputable and valuable electronic journals. It contains links to more than 10,000 full text titles. The addition of Science is said to enhance SwetsWise Online Content’s reputation as the gateway of choice among librarians and information professionals around the world.
‘Science is pleased to be joining SwetsWise Online Content, as it allows our subscribers to gain easier access to full-text articles,’ said Beth Rosner, publisher of Science. ‘We look forward to establishing a partnership with an international provider that manages subscriptions and information throughout the world and enhances the electronic distribution communication medium.’
‘The addition of Science demonstrates the relevance of SwetsWise Online Content,’ said Thomas Snyder, Swets’ chief commercial officer. ‘Having leading electronically published content available through a single interface makes the service indispensable for information professionals. Publishers recognise the inherent value of this service. They can significantly increase the worldwide reach of their titles, without losing control over content, pricing or access rights. It’s another clear example of how the world’s becoming SwetsWise.’
