Publons and American Society for Microbiology begin pilot

Publons and the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) have entered into a pilot partnership that will allow verified peer review recognition to peer reviewers of 12 participating ASM journals via the Publons platform.

Publons works with peer reviewers, academic publishers, and research institutions to make peer review a rewarding activity.  Established in 2013, the company collects information from peer reviewers and publishers to produce comprehensive reviewer profiles with publisher-verified peer review contributions that researchers can add to their resume without breaking reviewer anonymity.

ASM journals provide coverage of both clinical and basic microbiology. With over 90 years of experience, these journals serve as an authoritative source in the field of microbial sciences.
