Polish Academy of Sciences picks Versita

The Polish Academy of Science has decided to publish 21 of its journals electronically under the open-access model. It has chosen Versita as the technology and publishing services provider for the project.

The 21 journals are in various scientific disciplines, including biology, veterinary sciences, psychology, transportation and engineering. Versita will offer its electronic publishing, distribution and marketing services to the journals, leaving the journal editors free to focus on the acquisition and editing of manuscripts.

Versita, a science publisher based in Central and Eastern Europe, already offers its services to nearly 200 journals in the region and globally, and expects to increase the number of customer journals to 500 in the near future. The partnership with the Polish Academy of Sciences is a significant step in making this vision possible, says the company.
