The OpenAthens Federation has welcomed the publications division of the American Chemical Society (ACS).

This new partnership provides ACS members and subscribers with a streamlined path to the ACS suite of 50 journals, and hundreds of eBooks, along with additional transparency around usage data for institutions.

Jeff Lang, assistant director of platform development for the American Chemical Society publications division, said: 'ACS is committed to providing our members with the best service possible. OpenAthens will help institutions manage their usage while our content remains secure.'

'We’re excited to add ACS Publications to the OpenAthens federation,' added Jon Bentley, commercial director for OpenAthens. 'Combining ACS Publications’ world-class content with OpenAthens’ industry-leading single sign-on technology will provide readers with secure, straightforward, and attributable access to vital content in the chemical sciences.'
