OpenAthens has announced the venue and agenda for its first Customer Conference, which will bring together information professionals and technical experts from across the spectrum of healthcare, academia, corporate and publishing under the theme of Creating Connections to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing organisations in the context of Identity and Access Management (IAM).

The event will take place at the NEC Birmingham on 9 November. The keynote address on how readers discover content will be delivered by Tracy Gardner from Simon Inger Consulting, and Ken Chad will also present on the theme of innovation in library services.

There will be a variety of breakout sessions on mapping end user experiences, discussion of the development roadmap for OpenAthens, product training, and presentations – as well as a series of lightning talks and round table sessions.

Jon Bentley, head of product marketing at OpenAthens, commented: 'We’re very excited about staging the first OpenAthens Customer Conference this November. We think it’ll be a fantastic opportunity for customers from across the world – identity and service providers alike – to meet and discuss the major issues relating to access management, and to share expertise and solutions that will benefit the industry as a whole.'
