OCLC has acquired the assets of German library system provider, BOND GmbH & Co. KG.

The company, which is based near Mannheim, is said to be a leading integrated system provider for public libraries in German-speaking countries. The addition of BOND services is hoped to enhance and expand OCLC services for German libraries.

The 60 employees of BOND will continue to manage and serve libraries from the company’s existing offices. OCLC says it will continue to maintain and advance the BOND BIBLIOTHECA suite of library system solutions.
