New sales directors for Highwire

HighWire Press has appointed John Corkery and Andy Gardner in the roles of senior sales directors for North America.

For the past seven years, Corkery has been helping clients develop their publishing businesses through technology solutions. As a consultant, he has participated in digital transition and selection projects involving content management systems, content automation, online hosting, UX/UI design and discovery. Corkery arrives at HighWire with more than 20 years of publishing and technology experience.

Gardner has worked in publishing for more than 10 years and has been involved in many aspects of the publishing process – from paid content development and medical education for pharmaceutical companies to corporate, academic, and government library sales and licensing of STM content and databases. Most recently Andy worked with SAGE Publications as a senior library sales manager.
