Clay McDaniel has joined ProQuest as vice president for global marketing.

McDaniel will oversee the teams responsible for the company’s comprehensive integrated go-to-market strategies, including product and field marketing, corporate communications, brand, and marketing operations.

'Clay brings to ProQuest an extensive background in product and digital marketing leadership roles within a diverse array of global software, services and digital media companies,' said Kristi Marchbanks, senior vice president, global sales, marketing and customer experience.

'His expertise will help shape our vision for the marketing organisation and develop customer-centric and market focused strategies.'

Prior to joining ProQuest, McDaniel was CEO and managing director, global social media practice for the Mediabrands Audience Platform, the digital media agency division of Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG). He is also involved in the enterprise software and online services sector, and currently serves as an Advisor to several early-stage SaaS marketing platform companies.

McDaniel holds an MBA in marketing and technology management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BA in economics from Princeton University. He is based in ProQuest’s Seattle office.
