Nature Publishing Group gets new MD

Steven Inchcoombe, previously Macmillan’s international director, is the new managing director of Nature Publishing Group (NPG). He succeeds Annette Thomas who was recently made CEO of Macmillan, NPG’s parent company.

Inchcoombe joined the Macmillan Board just over a year ago and is said to have been working closely with Macmillan Education, Macmillan India and Macmillan Production (Asia) Ltd (MPAL) in Hong-Kong with a keen focus on growth, profitability and digital strategy. ‘I am delighted that Steven has accepted this new role. I have enjoyed working closely with him over the last year as a colleague on Macmillan’s executive board and as I now take on my new role as CEO it’s just wonderful to be able to entrust NPG’s future in such capable hands,’ commented Annette Thomas.
