The National Library of the Czech Republic now offers the eBooks on Demand (EOD) service. This enables the library's collections of copyright free books to be ordered as e-books at the request of users from any part of the world.

The collection of the Czech National Library contains over 6.6 million items, including 18,893 historical documents. An important part is the National Conservation Collection, which has been built on the basis of the legal deposit right since 1805. Items of the Slavonic Library are also offered, including Slavistic publications in the fields of history, philology and political sciences, as well as selected poetry and fiction.

Five libraries from the Czech Republic now offer their collections for digitisation on request through the service. The other libraries are the Academy of Sciences Library of the Czech Republic, National Library of Technology, Research Library Olomouc and one library that also offers reprints - Moravian Library in Brno. The EOD network now includes 36 European libraries from 12 countries.
