SAGE’s free public social network dedicated to the discussion of research methods online, attracted more than 1000 members in its first month.

‘This rapid growth is a strong indicator of the research community’s appetite for a dynamic way to collaborate and share ideas online,’ commented Ziyad Marar, deputy managing director and publishing director of SAGE. ‘With few dedicated faculties teaching research methods, as well as a massive diversity in the range of methodologies that can be used, Methodspace makes it possible for researchers to connect, without any restrictions on geographic location or discipline.’

The Methodspace community includes researchers from the USA, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australasia, covering a wide range of methodological backgrounds, including both qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as mixed methods and evaluation.
