Knovel and ASTM seal online publication deal

US online publication provider, Knovel, has joined forces with voluntary standards organisation, ASTM International, to provide ASTM books and manuals to subscribers of Knovel's online technical reference collection.

The move promises to boost Knovel's coverage of materials and testing for the aerospace, petroleum and energy industries.

'Many of our subscribers requested that we provide access to ASTM resources through Knovel's search functionality so they can speedily locate material relevant to more of their engineering challenges,' said Delores Meglio, Knovel's vice president of content management.

John Pace, vice president of publications at ASTM International added: 'We look at our new partnership with Knovel as a means of providing a new approach for accessing ASTM technical information.'
