Highwire Press and Kudos have both made key appointments in recent weeks.

HighWire Press has announced the appointment of Amy Mosher as vice president of human resources.

Mosher comes to HighWire with more than 15 years of global human resources experience as a strategic HR partner in high growth technology environments.

'As a member of the executive team, Amy will work closely with me and the broader leadership team to assure that HighWire advances its business, brings in and retains top talent, and further embeds its core values and its dynamic culture,' said Dan Filby, HighWire's CEO.

'The staff at HighWire are as dedicated and hard working as any I've experienced,' said Amy from her new office in Redwood City. 'I'm excited at the opportunity to take on a key role in developing and directing HighWire's global HR strategy, while supporting our collaborative and results-focused culture.'

Meanwhile Kudos has welcomed Rebecca Shumbata as the company’s sales manager in North America. Rebecca was most recently at Publishing Technology, prior to which she held roles at the New England Journal of Medicine and Cell Press.

'It’s just over a year since we launched Kudos, and we’ve already been embraced by several prestigious publishers and institutions, as well as more than 10,000 researchers, in North America,' said Charlie Rapple, sales and marketing director and co-founder of Kudos. 'With our institutional service about to go live, and a range of developments to our publisher services about to be released, it’s the perfect time to be increasing our North American presence and we’re thrilled to have Rebecca on board to help us do that.'
