Innovative and Bibliotheca announce alliance to integrate library solutions

Share this on social media:

Innovative, which provides library services platform, and Bibliotheca, a provider of RFID and bar-code based technology solutions, have entered into a strategic alliance that promises to enhance integration of the companies’ products to create value-added offerings to library customers worldwide.

The agreement gives Innovative the rights to resell Bibliotheca’s RFID systems to Innovative customers around the world.  The two companies agreed to work jointly to identify and develop technology initiatives that provide leading-edge connectivity between their respective product lines.

The agreement also allows Innovative to market the Bibliotheca products under the “triple I” brand and establishes a more formal working relationship between the respective companies’ marketing, support and consulting organisations. This move promises to eliminate many of the frustrations commonly associated with operating and integrating separate ILS and RFID technologies.

'Bibliotheca has set the standard for RFID solutions for libraries and we are very pleased to be partnering with them to improve connectivity between our products,' said Kim Massana, CEO of Innovative. 'Our ultimate goal in establishing this partnership is to streamline the experience of library users and create seamless technology solutions for our customers.'

'Innovative is viewed around the world as a leader in library automation solutions and we’re very proud to have them offering our entire product suite to their customers,' added Jim Hopwood, group managing director of Bibliotheca. 'We’re excited to be collaborating with the Innovative team to provide leading-edge connectivity between our solutions and their library services platform.'
