Ingram teams up with BoD in Germany

Ingram Content Group has expanded its Global Connect programme through an alliance with Books On Demand (BoD), which is described as a leading digital book manufacturer in Germany with substantial retail distribution in the region.

'Ingram’s Global Connect relationship with Books On Demand will make more content available throughout the world,' said David “Skip” Prichard, president and CEO of Ingram. 'We look forward to working with the market leader for digital print distribution in Germany and to bringing German content to our growing worldwide service.'

The Global Connect programme increases the reach of print content beyond Ingram’s current channels to new markets through a network of select book manufacturing and distribution partners. Ingram’s alliance with BoD will provide access to new sales channels in Germany without the worry of inventory in market, importation and customs issues, and shipping and warehousing costs. At the same time, BoD will expand its reach through the Ingram Global Connect network, including all the markets that Ingram serves.
