Researchers are being offered a fully-funded opportunity to attend our one-day London conference – and help shape the future of scholarly communications.

Building on the success of the inaugural event last year, CISPC 2018 provides a unique environment for the three stakeholder groups within scholarly communication – publishers, librarians and academics – to discuss the issues they face in the creation, dissemination and use of scholarly research.

The event, which is being held at London Art House in the borough of Islington on Monday 3 December and is being organised by Research Information in partnership with Info International.

We are able to offer researchers/scientists five funded places to take part in the forum, during which you'll have plenty of opportunities to engage directly with librarians from other institutions as well as representatives of journal publishing teams – and let them know your views.

CISPC 2018 will be a truly interactive event, and you will be encouraged to participate in the various discussions planned for the day. To make sure we learn from your expertise and opinions on the state of academic publishing, we are restricting applications to those who have published a minimum of five pieces of research – at least one of which must be in the last 12 months.

You'll need to make your own way to the event venue, but you'll be well fed and watered throughout the day – and guaranteed to come away with the benefit of the views of the other participants from throughout the industry.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm GMT on Wednesday 21 November; successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 23 November.
