Sven Fund, a former CEO of De Gruyter, who left the academic publisher at the end of 2014, has launched his consulting and investment company.

His company Fullstopp will be active in three fields. Fund will consult publishing houses and institutions with the definition and implementation of their digital strategy. In addition, he plans the acquisition and the management of fast growing digital scholarly publishing companies. The third pillar of Fullstopp’s entrepreneurial activity is advisory of innovative startups, for example Inkitt, a platform that claims it can predict bestsellers.

'The dissemination of scholarly content is changing rapidly around the globe. Being active both in consulting as well as an entrepreneur myself is the ideal combination,' says Sven Fund.

As well as being CEO of De Gruyter from 2008 to 2014, Fund has held and in different positions at Springer Science and at Bertelsmann.
