Finland joins SCOAP3

The high-energy physics open-access consortium, SCOAP3, has added Finland to its list of member countries. The Finnish National Electronic Library (FinELib), a consortium of Finnish universities, universities of applied sciences, public libraries, research institutes and special libraries, joined SCOAP3 on Finland's behalf.
With Finland, the SCOAP3 membership now counts 21 countries in America, Australasia, Europe and the Middle East, as well as large number of leading US libraries and an international organisation. The partners have now collectively pledged 63 per cent of the SCOAP3 budget envelope of 10 million Euros/year.
