Emerald acquires information and computing titles
Emerald has acquired four journals from Troubador Publishing. These will join Emerald’s existing information and knowledge management portfolio and education titles.
The journals are: Journal of Information, Communication and Ethics in Society, Interactive Technology and Smart Education, International Journal of Pervasive Computing and Communications and International Journal of Web Information Systems.
Troubador publisher Jeremy Thompson described this as ‘a fantastic move’ for the four journals. ‘The academic journals market has shifted greatly in recent years, so much so that it had become evident to us that small publishers stood little chance in a market where libraries subscribe to hundreds of journals in packages from large publishers,’ he explained.
