EBSCO Publishing, US, has acquired ten indexes from Sage Publications, also of the US. The deal will bring the indexes - currently only available in print form - to users electronically through EBSCO’s so-called 'EBSCOhost' platform.

The indexes including Abstracts in Social Gerontology, Educational Administration Abstracts, the Shock & Vibration Digest, and Violence and Abuse Abstracts are scheduled to go online in October 2007.

According to EBSCO, these versions will include back-files. Unlimited use, remote accessibility, multi-database searching and links to full-text will be available.

Stephanie Pearsall, EBSCO's vice president of editorial operations, said: 'By October 2007, we expect to have processed electronic content for all of these indexes back to volume one, issue one. These deep indexing back-files will be made available through the online versions.'
