EasyBib has set up a quiz for educators and librarians to find out how aware they are of the current state of student information literacy.

Anyone who participates in the quiz will have an opportunity to win $500 for either professional development or their school’s library, and a year’s subscription to EasyBib or ResearchReady.

The Information Literacy Quiz for Librarians, which only takes about a minute to complete, focuses on librarians’ and educators’ perceptions about the research habits and levels of information literacy for students, through a few quick questions about students’ use of credible sources and libraries’ websites, which sources are cited most, and even what time most students work on their papers.

'We believe that this quiz will show the true need for an Information Literacy tool like our recently-released ResearchReady,' said Darshan Somashekar, EasyBib co-founder. 'ResearchReady is a cloud-based learning platform that teaches fundamental, ethical, 21st century research skills to students so they’ll know how to locate relevant information, avoid plagiarism and respect copyright, refine research strategies, evaluate sources, and cite sources correctly.'
