Digital Science, a division of Macmillan Publishers, has invested in Toronto-based startup 1DegreeBio. The company was founded by alumni from the Structural Genomics Consortium to help scientists more efficiently discover and select biological reagents. As well as providing an online database of research products, the 1DegreeBio platform also provides reviews and validation data posted by researchers, allowing scientists to make more informed decisions. 1DegreeBio is currently focusing on the antibody market, but will be extending their service to cover other reagents and products.
