Publishing solutions provider The Charlesworth Group, UK, has signed another round of National Online agreements in China with 17 international publishers. Charlesworth successfully negotiated individual contracts between the publishers and the National Science and Technology Library (NSTL) nation-wide consortia in China.

These agreements, worth $1 million in gross revenue, are expected to provide valuable new income from the emerging market, create strong online brand recognition and promote online usage of the subscribed content by the Chinese.

Working as local agents in China, Charlesworth expands the reach of society and university scholarly publishers by providing access to their online journal and database content to NSTL's end users. NSTL users include around 500 Chinese academic institutions, research institutes and government departments.
