Bentham Science Publishers has appointed EBSCO-owned EMpact as its sales and marketing representative, and consultant, to increase scholarly journal sales.

According to the agreement, EMpact will promote and sell Bentham’s products in North America (excluding the USA), South America, the Caribbean Basin, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Russia, Middle East and Africa.

‘We are very excited to partner with EMpact,’ said Matthew Honan, editorial director at Bentham Science Publishers. ‘We publish scholarly journals of high quality and content, a number of which are leaders in their respective fields, so EMpact should have a positive effect in helping to strengthen our sales internationally.’

Elizabeth Waddell, business development manager at EMpact, commented, ‘We are very pleased to assist Bentham as they seek to expand the promotion and sales of their pharmaceutical, biomedical and medical scholarly journals into other areas of the world. Our experienced and dedicated team, coupled with Bentham’s excellent reputation and content that spans 16 major publication disciplines, provide a solid foundation for success.'
